Crypt Records
Play, Lose & Die
10" 33 RPM (SNATCH!031)
First full length by those wild south france Lofi-garage trash maniacs!
Following their loved 45´s New Hope and If you
wanna Play on the singers Piero´s own PROFET RECORDS; play,
lose & die is their most evil, dark and powerful approach. The
MIGHTY GO-GO PLAYERS are the inbreed brother band of the FATALS, sharing
two members and with Perpignon the same home city. Frontman Piero Go-Go
Man is the freako to see on the stage and it takes one live performance
to see he´s the no.1 rocknroll bad ass of..now! No doubt about that.
He´s a weirdo-destructo-maestro! With his remarkable desparate voice,
the furious fucked farfisa and the insane song structure this record is
getting quite a experience, yet listenable since this the best songwriting
to date. Think druged-out SEXAREENOS, art-damaged MURDER CITY DEVILS based
on FATALS-fuzz going IN THE RED on a deathcult sex-war. Pure evil. Live
over Europe the December 2005. Get the lim. 98 version on red vinyl, mailorder
only.(D.B.AlienSnatch!)

MIGHTY GO GO PLAYERS - Play, Lose & Die! (Alien Snatch)
Germany French garage trash mayhem! 2 members are in the Fatals so you know
it's not gonna be a mellow day when you slap this platter on!

Play, Lose ... and Die!(snatch!031)
Das kurze "No Way At All"
"Goin'On"
Well Well" die A-Seite beendet wird. "It Could Be Higher In The
Das folgende "Not Too
"You Got To Crawl On My Soul", bevor nach einer kurzen Ruhephase

The Mighty Go-Go Players Play, Lose And Die
(Alien Snatch Records)
The French and Italian guys have a distinct way of churning out their 60s
inspired surf/beat/punk with a bent lo-fi trash-rock. I dont know
why. The Go-Go Players sound and approach bring to mind bands like The Uninvited
and The Hermits, both from Italy and the Players countrymen the Squares,
from France. On this 10, their first long player, the quartet have
added a creepy Farfisa organ to the grandeur, which they build the songs
around, along with some pretty lively drumming, such as on the opening track
No Way At All and the following Goin On. Well, Well is a moody Boots-like
ballad, but they speed things up again on side 2 and prove that the freaky
shit-tag they come with, was earned the hard way on It Could Be Higher and
Not Too Bad. You Got To Crawl On My Soul is another slow Beguiled-like monster
of a song and just like the Fatals, whom the Players share two members with,
this happy marriage of fuzz, reverb and desperately trying to have some
fucked up fun, is made in heaven if you like your RnR with one
foot in the garbage can and the other one in the grave.

Mighty Go Go Players "If You Wanna Play
" 7"
Its official: France just might be the new Japan. Seriously, the amount
of killer French bands coming out of seemingly nowhere is starting to show
signs that France circa 2004 just might be this decade's equivalent to the
pre-Chloroform Japan scene. Okay that might be a bit of hyperbole, but when
I listen to a record as great as this, it just feels right (italics) to
compare the 2004 French explosion to the halcyon days of Nippon punk. To
continue the thread of asinine comparisons, the Mighty Go Go Players are
the Registrators to the Fatals' Teengenerate. They've got the same killer
filthy yet furious production as their now infamous label mates, which only
makes sense as their singer Piero Go Go Man is the knob twiddler responsible
for the Fatals' trademark sound. That's about as far as the similarities
go however, as the Go Go Players are even more crazed and frantic than,
well, just about any active unit I can think of at the moment. This single
is a whirlwind of sonic destruction built on equal parts 60's garage riffs,
punk rock aggression, and organ-powered art-damaged freakouts. If the early
Piranhas recorded a single full of DMZ covers I reckon it wouldn't sound
too dissimilar to this. Okay, if the above descriptions are too half-baked
and oblique for you, let's break it down to simple arithmetic: completely
insane + totally catchy + super original + desperately miniscule print run
= 100% essential.(SS)(scum stats: 300 copies)

Piano-laden bullshit. just kidding, boys! The second round from the PLAYERS
and they're tighter than a cow's ass in fly season! "Get It Over"
is a fucking heart-stopper that I can't imagine partying without. Good'n
dirty SEXAREENOS-style debauchery that'll get anybody's blood pumpin' and
heart poundin' within seconds. Another classic, (edition of 300)Nasty Product
for that nasty ass of yours. I'd say it's a Filthy French Fried Farfisa
Fuck Fantasy.(Lou)

MIGHTY GO-GO PLAYERS If You Wanna Play...2004 7"

The Mighty Go-Go Players - "If you wanna play... "
Profet Record
Dis-Organ-eyezed rock n roll soul explosion. The Might Go-Go Players
play with a more frantic and chaotic bent than contemporaries. Garage traditionalists
and new enthusiasts alike should enjoy this one. Get it Over
and She Got it Too are my favorite tracks.(MG)

Mighty Go Go Players "New Hope" 7"EP
More primo vinyl from France, this from the same camp that gave us those
killer Fatals and Toxic Farmers singles last month (I think they may share
some members, and the sicko who recorded the Fatals single is in the Go
Go Players and also recorded these songs). Go Go Players are a three piece
who play super-trashy garage pounders (three of them here) in the same vein
as the previously mentioned Fatals, except not as shit-ass crazy (but almost
as good). A little bit more traditional, in a Mummies/Dutchmen kinda way,
but even trashier. "Suck My Fun" possesses not only a great title,
but great music to go along with it. The B-Side contains a twangy little
surf-like number that lulls you into submission before turning into a wall-of-fuzz
freakout that'll have you reaching for the volume knob immediately. Recommended
and probably really hard to find. (RK)

Mighty Go Go Players "New Hope" 7"EP
Great Debut single from the French gang of rock'n'trashers who gave us the
also mighty Fatals 7". The Go-go Players feature Piero (also known
as the Go-Go Man) who recorded the Fatals, on guitar and vocals. Pretty
damn cool stuff. It's got that same no-fi hi-quality sound as the Fatals
however this is more rock'n'roll and less noise. Think more garage but in
no way retro or boring in any way. Great shit.. The Rolling Stones meet
the Beguiled in Johnny Thunders-land..maybe
Dig It !
Mighty Go Go Players "New Hope" 7"
Les caves perpignanaises vomissent toujours leur lie, voyez The Mighty Go-Go
(Fallin' With you, In Love With YOu "), et mid-tempo lysergique ("Sugar

Wow. This is another hot ball o' fire, straight outta left field and breathing
the same fire as the FATALS, but with more emphasis on the melody and less
wall of noise. It looks like the French are kicking our fucking ASSES again.
"Suck My Fun" is just one of the best song titles, and it just
keeps getting better as the songs rolls on. Even some nasty slide guitar,
all just add to the mystery. I'm sure this will get overlooked just by the
name, but seriously, if you're down for some brutally delicious rock'n roll,
bury your face in this, NOW!(Rod)
